This introductory level course introduces students to major wine styles, practices for proper wine storage and service, as well as the fundamentals of food and wine pairing.
This certification course aims to provide students with the product and service knowledge necessary to excel in wine-related positions in restaurants, bars, retail outlets and winery tasting rooms.
Who should attend: This course is ideal for students preparing for their first job in the wine industry or for consumers seeking a formal introduction to wine. Students with more wine experience may elect to bypass WSET Level 1 and enroll directly in WSET Level 2 Award in Wine.
No prior experience or knowledge is expected for attendance in this course.
