2019 Minuit

Yakima Valley AVA

The Malbec (70%) in our 2019 Minuit is sourced from three very different blocks from the Red Willow and Quintessence Vineyards. The riper, dense blue fruits, violets and intense color are brought on by the Red Mountain Malbec at Quintessence, while wild raspberry, red plum, and wonderful savory notes are issued from Red Willow. Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) from Quintessence Vineyard adds body and tension to fill in the mid-palate and drive the finish. This juicy blend promises to pair terrifically with your next BBQ.

2019 Le Colosse

Yakima Valley AVA

The three vineyards that make up the 2019 Le Colosse exemplify how delicious Washington State Merlot can be. Boushey Vineyard brings an earthy, brambly character that dominates in the wines’ youth. Red currant, Bing cherry, and dried sage are offered up by Harrison Hill Vineyard, with chalky structure, blue fruits, and seductive richness present thanks to DuBrul Vineyard. This wine is yet another example of a long-standing theme at the winery – its whole being greater than the sum of its parts. This charmer exudes freshness on release and will only benefit from the tertiary flavors that time will allow.

2019 Four Flags Cabernet

Red Mountain AVA

Cabernet Sauvignon

2019 Four Flags is loaded with its hallmark red and dark fruit aromas. Along with vibrant fruit, this vintage offers a uniquely savory quality. Olive tapenade, star anise, and juniper play with aromas of wild huckleberry, red licorice and Bing cherry. The mouthfeel is delicately textured, with fine, dusty Red Mountain tannins. 80% new French oak gently supports the complex matrix of fruit, spice, herbs, and umami flavors. Drink confidently now or cellar as long as possible to experience the promising future this beauty possesses.

2020 Le Dessein

Columbia Valley AVA

In its youth, 2020 Le Dessein (formerly Métier) is showing dark, brambly fruits that are offered up by Mourvèdre (44%) and Syrah (20%), with Grenache (36%) adding Bing Cherry and strawberry leaf. There is a serious meaty, bacon fat component to this wine that is accentuated by notes of black pepper, violets and cranberry. The silky structure is lifted by wonderful acidity, bringing a sense of freshness to the palate. This wine always drinks well on release and can be cellared for 12+ years.

2020 Doyenne

Columbia Valley AVA

The 2020 Doyenne, on release, is very reticent to show itself on the nose. As the wine opens up, toasted oak aromas bracket black cherry and blueberry, adding mocha to the mix. Although coaxing aromas out of the glass takes some commitment, the wine erupts on the palate, with layers of Cabernet Sauvignon fruit and structure offering reinforcement to lush Syrah. In the short-term, give this a bit of time to open up in the bottle or give it a decant before enjoying.

2020 D2

Columbia Valley AVA

Showcasing a classic layering of red and dark fruits, our 2020 D2 is built upon a softer, approachable structure and style that allow for this wine to be so reliable to be enjoyed in its youth.  Whiffs of dried cranberry, black cherry, vanilla bean, and lavender flower flow into a palate filled with flavors reminiscent of milk chocolate, green peppercorn, and fresh ground nutmeg.  Many of the state’s most heralded sites provide pure fruit and savory characteristics here, with toasty oak influence deftly supporting in the background.  Enjoy now with a gentle decant or cellar for up to 15 years.
