1995 Chaleur Estate 1.5L Engraved

The ‘95 version of our Bordeaux style blend has a dark saturated ruby purple color. There are compelling aromas of lush blackberries, cassis and vanilla with some floral notes as well. On the palate, this wine shows a plush and opulent mouthfeel, with raspberry, chocolate, toasted nuts and cedar notes. It has a wonderful multi-layered texture. There is silky spice sweetness and ripe firm tannins intertwined with very good oak integration.

DeLille Cellars’ inaugural wine, Chaleur Estate marks the foundation on which the winery has built its craft of blending Washington State fruit in the traditional style. This wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend of Bordeaux varietals, with a focus on Red Mountain vineyards. The result is a wine of depth, complexity, focus and elegance that personifies the French word for warmth, chaleur.
