Doyenne 2012 Métier
As one of the most complex and diverse Métier ever produced, the aromas range from blackberries, blueberries and deep black cherries to curry spices like turmeric, cardamom and coriander. Add floral notes of lavender, violets, and orange peel and you start to get the message. Don’t forget its youthful sauvage expressed through black pepper, garrigue (a.k.a. wild, fragrant herbs), meat and graham. The flavors are equally varied with cassis, black cherries, raspberries, fresh herbs, black olive, and licorice. The finish is absolutely stunning. All and all, this is an outstanding vintage for Métier Red.
