Gold - San Francisco Chronicle
Inviting pure fruit aromas of cherry, cranberry and blueberry introduce this 2015 D2, all respectfully framed by appealing oak notes of cocoa and wood spice. Soft and welcoming Merlot drives the entry with red currant before giving way to the power and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit is well balanced with savory notes of toasted fennel seeds and dried rosemary, with enjoyable oak influence and firm tannins on the sustained finish.
Jeb Dunnuck for Robert Parker, June 2017:
The largest production cuvee, notes of graphite, crushed rocks, caramelized black cherries and dark chocolate all define the ripe, sexy, full-bodied 2015 D2 Proprietary Red Wine. Made from 58% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and a splash of Petit Verdot, from a who's who list of vineyards in Washington State, this beauty has tons of upfront fruit, as well as a firm, nicely structured core. Hats off to the team at DeLille for consistently producing this level of quality at this quantity.
