Tasting Notes: Departing from the mourvèdre dominant cuvées of prior vintages, this year’s Doyenne Rosé showcases our Grenache fruit offering profound strawberry and raspberry aromas with hints of earth, anise, citrus and watermelon characters. Showing greater palate weight than a typical rosé, the 2011 vintage expresses complex flavors of wild strawberries and melon wrapped in a supple texture with a refreshing crisp focus. This combination of juicy acidity and creamy mouthfeel make our rosé a perfectly balanced summertime wine – definitely my top choice for alfresco dining.
