The aroma shows a wonderful combination of stone fruits, flint, and sweet straw. The flavors show all the power of the 1999 vintage with a classy balance of plush ripeness and acidity. The creamy oak nuances of the barrel fermentation seem to show up mostly in the lengthy finish.
